Sopa Criolla

Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 red onion
  • 1 tomato, diced
  • 500 g sirloin steak
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 teaspoons ajinomoto (MSG)
  • 1 tablespoon ají amarillo paste
  • 1 tablespoon ají panca paste
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1½ teaspoons oregano
  • 1 liter water
  • Beef stock
  • Angel hair pasta
  • Half a can of evaporated milk
  • Oil

Preparation

Heat oil in a pot. Sear the beef until cooked to your liking, then set it aside. Add the minced garlic and the red onion cut into small dice. Cook until the onion is translucent.

Add the tomato cut into small dice. Cook until the tomato turns orange. Add the beef back in. Season with salt, ajinomoto, pepper, and oregano. Add the water and let it cook for 15 minutes. Add the angel hair pasta and wait for it to come back to a boil.

Turn off the heat and stir in the milk.
